Every diet plan that I’ve ever followed--more than a dozen in 27 years--has begun with a detox and required that I record my food consumption and exercise. That’s the part I hate the most, the food/exercise diary, because it puts everything in black and white. It’s all there--your weaknesses, your strengths and all the empty calories that got the best of you.

Identify your signature style and rock it, especially when prepping for a special event. The confidence you exude, which comes from knowing you are comfortable and appropriate, is what everyone else will remember.
The thank yous, happy birthdays, and congrats you never got
Social media makes it easy for us to remember each other's special days, and also easy to get so distracted you forget to send a special note. Celebrate yourself. And remember there’s a difference between a forgetful friend and a friend who never wants to celebrate you. Forgive the former and ditch the latter.
The ignorant comment your boss made
Harassment is serious and demands a serious response, stupidity isn’t. You can bet that the last dumb comment your boss made has a lot more to do with their own insecurities and drama than it does with you. It’s annoying, I know, but it’ll do you good to let it go.
