IT'S HARD TO STAY ON TRACK WHEN NO ONE ELSE IS WATCHING. Imagine how much more you could accomplish if you had someone to hold you accountable.
We can’t deny the fact that we are social creatures and it is natural and extremely beneficial
for us to seek support and guidance from others. We become stronger people when we
acknowledge that sometimes we can’t accomplish things on our own and at times what we
need is ACCOUNTABILITY.
An Accountability Partner is someone who motivates you, checks in on you, and encourages you, ultimately helping you carry out your goals. Keep these things in mind when searching for your Accountability Partner:
1. Choose someone who is honest - You are going to need someone to be
completely honest with you about the nature of your goals and behavior.
2. Seek out someone who is willing to put you in check - It goes without saying that your accountability partner needs to be someone you trust enough to let them check you, when needed. We all have those moments when we get off track, so having someone who can get you back on track is important.
3. Find someone you trust - You will have to be vulnerable with your accountability
partner, so it is essential that you find someone you can trust.
4. Use social media - We all have access to social media. Follow people that keep you
motivated to work toward your goals.
Think about the areas in your life where you may need more accountability. Maybe you have
major academic goals, want to spend more time in the gym, eat healthier, apply to a new job or graduate school, or make some changes in your spiritual life. Then take some time to
identify people in your life who can help you stay on track. Every LEGEND needs someone to hold them accountable.
